Robert & Edgar — LGTBIQ+ Wedding Film at Mas Terrats, Empordà | Piña Colada Weddings

    Mas Terrats

    Robert & Edgar

Robert and Edgar chose Mas Terrats, a beautiful masía in the heart of the Empordà, for their intimate August wedding. Arriving at the estate, you're greeted first by a golden sea of sunflowers, then by a centuries-old farmhouse draped in bougainvillea and climbing vines — one of those rare places where time seems to slow down and you could stay forever, simply absorbing the stillness of the landscape.

We have to confess something: both Raquel and I (David) are absolute dog lovers, so it was nearly impossible not to be completely won over by Robert and Edgar's furry companions, who were very much part of the celebration. They set the tone for what would be one of the most warm, joyful days we've ever filmed.

We've always said that LGTBIQ+ weddings carry a unique energy — a different kind of celebration, a freedom and emotion that's hard to put into words. Robert and Edgar's wedding was no exception. From the first moment, the atmosphere was electric with love, pride, and an infectious sense of joy.

For the ceremony, they chose a truly extraordinary setting: the Ruins of Empúries, one of the most important archaeological sites on the Mediterranean coast. Imagine exchanging vows surrounded by ancient Greek and Roman ruins overlooking the sea — a place steeped in thousands of years of history, where the stone columns and weathered walls frame the Catalan coastline in a way that feels almost cinematic. It was also the backdrop for part of their couple session, the late afternoon light casting long shadows across the ruins while the Mediterranean shimmered behind them.

The ceremony opened with a truly emotional moment: Robert's niece Nerea sang beautifully as both grooms made their entrance, each accompanied by their mothers. It was one of those instants that silence an entire crowd.

Back at Mas Terrats, the cocktail hour featured live showcooking stations by Sensacions, adding a theatrical, interactive element that had guests gathered around every corner. The dinner that followed was equally impressive, building to a grand finale with a spectacular dessert table that left everyone in awe.

The floral design deserves its own mention: Flors Amèlia created stunning, lush arrangements that elevated every corner of the venue — from the ceremony arch to the table centrepieces. We're sharing some photographs of the décor so you can appreciate the incredible work they did.

As night fell, the first dance set the stage for what became an unforgettable party. SonoAcció took charge of the music and made sure every single guest stayed on the dance floor well into the early hours — the kind of celebration that simply refuses to end.
